Cancellation Policy

At Pause & Bloom, I am committed to helping as many women as possible through my services and I hope you understand that in order to do this I must operate a cancellation policy.

I respect that your time is valuable and I appreciate that you understand that mine is too. If appointments are cancelled or rescheduled at short notice, or if you do not attend an appointment, this means I am unable to re-use that time to support other women.

If you know that you are going to be unable to attend an appointment that you have booked I would appreciate you giving me as much notice as possible. I will be pleased to cancel and reschedule any appointments at any time, without any penalty or administration fees, up to 48 business hours before your appointment.

In the event that you give me less than 48 business hours’ notice of cancellation, 50% of the appointment fee will be charged.

Please note that if you are more than 10 minutes late for your appointment, I may be unable to proceed with your your scheduled service and 100% of the appointment will be charged.

Payments for packages and programmes

Programmes are sold as a unit, with the understanding that they are for a course of sessions that would be expected to benefit the client more than single sessions, and therefore refunds will not be given for early withdrawal from or non-attendance at programmes. Your statutory rights are not affected by this.

Advanced payments and deposits

An advanced payment or deposit is requested for all appointments , packages and/or programmes.

Refunds

I will be pleased to cancel and reschedule any appointments, without any penalty or administration fees, up to 48 business hours notice before your appointment.

In the event that you give me less than 48 business hours notice of cancellation, 50% of the appointment fee will be charged.

Other terms and Conditions

I can only see patients who are in the UK at the time of their appointment. Should it become clear you are not in the UK at the appointment time, I will not be able to continue with the appointment and no refund can be offered.

Scope of Practice

I am a Registered Nurse with knowledge and training in menopause however at Pause and Bloom, I do not diagnose, treat or prescribe medication. My scope of practice, following NICE guidelines (NICE, 2015), includes discussing symptoms, medication options and non-prescribed therapies. I am able to assess women with ongoing discussions of risk and benefits of medication, giving general health and lifestyle advice and I know when, where and how to refer those who wish to be prescribed HRT and those who have more complex needs requiring a specialist menopause service. My services are not meant to substitute or replace those of those in general practice, but rather work in conjunction with them.

Though I do not prescribe, I am able to provide information about prescription medications in relation to menopause. Your primary care practitioner should manage all medications they prescribe. I may suggest natural, non-invasive methods such as nutrition, supplements, stress management techniques, and lifestyle changes to address menopause symptoms and promote optimal health and wellness.
